Upskilling training

Although, if businesses require a specific skills training day, a course can be written to their requirements to provide the best possible service.

Delivery Of Upskilling Training

The upskilling training is tutor-led and usually runs from 10.00 – 16.00 hrs. However, there is flexibility to run the sessions over two half days if it is difficult for staff to leave the workplace. Delegates will receive workbooks and handouts; participate in group discussions, question and answer sessions, and action planning. Courses will run with a minimum of 8 maximum of 12 delegates. Training can be done on our premises in the centre of Birmingham or your own company if there is a minimum of 8 staff attending.

Example Training Session– Time Management

At the end of the session the learners will be able to:

  • Deal effectively with interruptions
  • Organise tasks so that they are better organised, delegated or eradicated
  • Set their own specific goals and attain them

Course Content

  • Undertake a self-examination and analysis of how you spend your time
  • Look at ways of developing successful time management concepts
  • Look at your own delegation, organisation, concentration and communication skills
  • Examine the role of the procrastinator
  • Examine time loss factors and time consumers
  • Identify and implement a suitable and effective time strategy

Upskilling Resources

  • Workbooks
  • OHP or Power point
  • OHP Screen
  • All of which can be provided by Protocol

This training session consists of group discussions, completion of workbooks, group, and individual work. The course will be interactive and would best suit a group of 12 delegates, but no more than that to allow for greater individual attention.

From participating in the course, delegates will become aware of how much of the working day could be more productive. It will allow them to remain focused on the tasks at hand and improve personal motivation and business effectiveness.
