Assessor and IQA

Current: Work Based NVQ Assessor and IQA for over 10 years assessing all levels, predominately in hospitality in the following qualifications: Customer Service, Business Administration, Team Leading, Management, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office, Functional Skills, and supporting other tutors in delivering Employability Courses.

Responsible for own recruitment in the workplace and I support the recruitment team with selecting internal and external learners for a range of apprenticeships.

Past: NVQ Assessor and Internal Verifier at Birmingham Hotel & Catering Academy and TBG Learning – West Midlands.

Work Experience: Worked at Lea Marston Hotel for over 10 years after completing my HND course in Hotel & Catering Management. After completing my 1 year placement I worked as a receptionist during the last year of my HND. After successfully completing my course I was offered a Trainee Assistant Manager position and was promoted to Assistant Manager after 2 years supporting a number of departments. My final position was Operations Manager supporting the back of house and sports departments. I obtained my first Assessing qualification in 1997 and I was responsible for NVQ assessing and training in all departments, organising job fairs, attending schools and colleges open days to promote the hospitality industry.

More recently I worked at the Hyatt Regency Hotel during the 2014 Conservative Conference working various events and assisting VIP’s guests.

Summary: Since joining Protocol Consultancy Service in 2011 I have gained additional qualifications and training, where I have continued to deliver and assess to a very high standard, meeting the needs of my learners and their employers.
