IT Manager

Overseeing and managing all of the IT Infrastructure here at Protocol. Developing new systems and following the ILT strategies closely with the MD. I have also supported the implementation of our virtual learning environment Moodle and Mahara; which I subsequently now manage on a day to day basis. Day to day duties generally include: -

- General housekeeping of machines
- Building PC's and Laptops
- Managing Server (SBS Windows 2008 + Exchange 2003)
- Providing support both onsite and offsite
- Managing the Virtual Learning Environment
- Onsite and Offsite backup solutions

Also, as part of my role; I make sure that my staff are fully supported and doing their jobs to the best of their ability. I complete regular appraisals and reviews with all of them providing the best possible support and guidance.

Tutor / Assessor

Case load of learners including Business Administration 2/3, Team Leading and Management, IT User and IT Practitioner, Employability Skills, Functional Skills and Social Media.

I also provide tutoring sessions for the above learners and have been observed on several occasions; from the observations I have been graded between an Ofsted grade 1/2.

IQA (Internal Quality Assurance) 

I work closely with the MD of Protocol to ensure that all of the programmes are fully quality assured. I am currently the IQA for Functional Skills and IT User. I have also supported the IQA on Team Leading, TAQA, Business Admin and Customer Service.

I also work directly with the Admin Manager to support any needs that arise on a day to day basis. Anything from staff/work experience rota systems to organising events.
