Traineeship Overview

Assist the reception in welcoming potential visitors. Provide information to visitors about the business. Direct visitors to the relevant parts of the building eg, toilets, waiting area and other facilities.

Placement Details

This Traineeship programme offers 12 weeks at a learning centre to achieve a work skills qualification and functional skills if needed in Maths, English and ICT. You will then progress onto a 12 week Work Experience placement with the business. You will be working to support the reception area at this Community Support Organisation, including meeting and greeting, answering calls and dealing with enquiries.

This Traineeship work experience is part of an education and training programme that is focused on giving young people the skills and experience that employers are looking for. At its core is the Work Preparation training, English and maths for those who need it, and a high-quality work experience placement.

About the business

The business works with the community to bridge inequality gaps. They listen, learn and work collaboratively with the community, and provide greater access to resources, knowledge, support and expertise to help tackle isolation, to improve awareness of the opportunities to be taken, and lower the barriers that prevent people from seeking help or connecting more positively to the world around them.
