We’re absolutely delighted to share that our CPD and Mentoring programme has been recognised as one of the 57 exceptional training programmes to receive the prestigious Princess Royal Training Award this year!
This honour, formally approved by HRH The Princess Royal, celebrates organisations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to learning and development. In this milestone year –celebrating both the Awards’ 10th anniversary and HRH’s 75th birthday, we are especially proud to be part of a community that showcases the transformative impact of training on people, performance, and organisational success.
Kirstie Donnelly MBE, Chief Executive of City & Guilds said:
“For the last 10 years, the Princess Royal Training Awards have stood as a beacon of excellence in learning and development. We remain committed to expanding the reach of the Awards, engaging more organisations, and continuing to showcase best practice that drives success.
This year’s recipients have presented innovative approaches to challenges within their organisations which are highly representative of wider challenges within UK business and society, tackling problems including skills gaps and attracting quality applicants.”
Protocol’s CPD and mentoring programme to upskill staff and enhance training has been in operation since 2021. It has supported staff to deliver high-quality apprenticeships aligned with industry reforms, demonstrating improved trainer confidence, high achievement rates and customer satisfaction.
As a training organisation, our main goal is to drive excellence by developing a high-performing, multi-skilled team that meets key performance indicators (KPIs) while supporting personal development. We have developed a highly effective staff development program including a formal mentoring framework initiative that facilitates the staff CPD whilst also pairing experienced individuals with less experienced ones to provide guidance, support, and knowledge transfer that fosters effective employee engagement, team cohesion and collaboration.
Our comprehensive, structured approach to training and mentoring has transformed staff capability and learner outcomes. Through effective planning, blended delivery, and robust evaluation, we have achieved sustained performance gains and created a culture of continuous improvement.
Sue Tipton MBE commented:
“We are delighted that our commitment to delivering impactful, high-quality training has been recognised through the Princess Royal Training Awards in this milestone 10th anniversary year. At Protocol Consultancy Services, we believe that skills development transforms both individuals and organisations, and this recognition is a testament to the hard work, passion, and expertise of our team and the dedication of the learners we support. It’s an honour to be part of such an inspiring community of organisations driving positive change through training and development.”
