Why did you decide to join Protocol's pre-apprenticeship programme?

I chose to join Protocol’s Pre-Apprenticeship Programme to develop the essential skills required to progress into an apprenticeship. I first discovered Protocol when applying for an apprenticeship with Metro PM. However, as I did not hold a GCSE in Mathematics, I was unable to secure the role. Instead, I was offered the opportunity to enrol on the Pre-Apprenticeship Programme, through which I successfully achieved my mathematics qualification.

What do you think of the training given by Protocol?

I could not have asked for a better group to work with during the Pre-Apprenticeship Programme. The tutors were extremely supportive and allowed me to progress at my own pace without feeling pressured. Throughout the programme, I was able to develop valuable digital skills, employability skills and interview techniques, all of which helped me prepare for upcoming opportunities. In addition, I achieved a Level 1 Business Administration qualification, which played a key role in securing my current apprenticeship position.

How has Protocol helped you develop your skills?

Protocol has supported me in developing both my communication and teamwork skills. By working alongside my peers, I gained the confidence to share my ideas and opinions more openly within the group, a skill I continued to strengthen throughout the duration of the programme.

What are your next steps after Protocol's pre-apprenticeship programme?

Protocol’s Pre-Apprenticeship Programme enabled me to secure a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship with Principle Estate Management. I now plan to continue building valuable workplace experience while further developing my career within the property management sector.

What advice would you give to anyone who wants to join Protocol's pre-apprenticeship programme?

If you are seeking to gain valuable experience and develop essential transferable skills, Protocol’s Pre-Apprenticeship Programme is an excellent choice. The programme offers new opportunities that can support you in securing an apprenticeship, with Protocol providing guidance and encouragement every step of the way.
