My main responsibilities are taking payments from landlords for their rental properties, issuing arrears notice, final demand notice and updating customer database.

Protocol Consultancy Services – Apprenticeship
I applied for a vacancy on Apprenticeship.org through Protocol and received an invitation for an initial assessment and screening process. Protocol staff were friendly and welcoming and helped me to update my CV and gave me interview tips. My CV went to 3 companies and I also had the chance to upskill while awaiting the outcome from the employers. Adrian (BDM) arranged an interview for me at CP Bigwood and contacted the employer direct to inform them of my reliability, punctuality, and work ethic from my time with Protocol. I believe that this gave me an advantage over other interviewees due to them being external learners. Protocol informed me that I had been offered the apprenticeship on the same day as the interview. After which, I accepted following a conversation with my family.
I chose this route because I wanted to get into property and this job can help me have a better understanding in this industry. Also, CP Bigwood are a well-established business with 7 offices in the UK. There is an excellent chance of progression within the company. I am now undertaking a level 3 Business and Administration Apprenticeship with Protocol acting as my training provider.
My working environment is in an office with 7 other credit control staff members excluding myself. The working environment is just paper work, a lot of IT use and talking on the phone to tents and property owners. The environment itself is nice and safe.
I work in a team of 8 credit controllers but we can all help each other, however the teams work close together as all the departments are linked.
I like the mixture of roles in my job, I like the use of IT inputting data and customer service by talking to tents etc. Also finance as we look at figures and there are calculations.
My main challenges is knowing how to deal with other peoples development, as they know more about an individual than me in relation to their portfolio.
Assist is required when overcoming these challenges, but as I progress through the course, and the more I learn on and off of the job, the easier the whole process will become.

The reason I want to own these mixed business is because I enjoy all gym and eating out and I know the property business is a good business for cash flow and gaining assets.
